We're working around the current restrictions on cultural events.
Due to the COVID-19 virus all cultural events in Norway have been cancelled until the 15th of June. This date could be extended if necessary so we have had to hit the pause button on this year's collaborative events at SALT, Sandvika ByFest and in Grünerløkka.But we’re not going to let that stop us! Handmade in Norway is determined to support the artisans and makers of Norway by arranging high-quality Art & Design markets. We can’t do them outside, and we can’t gather together large groups of people for safety reasons. We’re thinking outside of the box, and going where the people are. We’re going to use the Internet, we’re going to use Facebook and we’re going to meet our customers where they are safest… Inside their own home.
Virtual Art & Design Markets
The second event is on the 3rd of May 2020.
Each virtual market will have it’s own post here on our website, where you can easily browse the products that will be for sale. All the items will be available to view for one week before the actual market opens. Giving you lots of time to browse and find something you like.
All products in these virtual markets are real and have been handcrafted by makers and artisans in the Handmade in Norway network.
We hope that you can join us in supporting local artisans in a time that is extremely challenging for small businesses.
It’s time to try something new!
The country has come to a standstill due to the COVID-19 virus, and it’s starting to get boring. Let’s have a bit of fun, fill our screens with beautiful handmade things.
We’ve had to cancel our markets this Spring/ Summer. But we’re not going to let that stop us. In place of a more conventional kind of market scenario, we will be hosting a series of virtual markets on Facebook.

The virtual market is open from 12:00 – 18:00 on Sunday the 3rd of May 2020.
