Fashion Favourites from 2019 (volume One)
The term Arts & Crafts covers a wide spectrum of skills and mediums, and we all have our preferences. My fashion favourites volumes will introduce you to those that I believe deserve special merit. These are generally people from my own network (which includes close to 3000 makers and artisans). I’m not showing off, but I am very proud to be able to say that. So I have plenty of fantastic items to show you.
Volume One brings you two accessory designers. Both of which I am happy to call friends.
Neha, from NK Jewellery came into the Handmade in Norway network in 2016. She has been a source of continued strength when time have been challenging.
I have known Lisa from Laks by Lisa since 2008 I think. worked together first, and became friends soon after. I have always been fascinated by Lisa’s work, and I love her interest in finding eco-friendly solutions to sourcing her materials.
NK Jewellery
NK Jewellery is not just another accessories brand. Designer Neha Kotwal has a passion for creating a fusion between traditional Indian design with more modern styles. Her collections consist of predominantly 925 Sterling Silver (18K Gold Plated). The real beauty lies in the candy-coloured semi-precious stones that have become her signature.
Neha designs each collection meticulously from her home studio in Asker, Norway. Her pieces are then made by a skilled team of artisans in India.

Signature
Neha’s pieces are easily recognisable for their multifaceted candy-coloured semi-precious stones. Her pieces are of the highest quality and have a very satisfying weight to them. You can feel the quality as you wear these pieces.
Laks by Lisa
Lisa Pindel creates gloriously vibrant accessories made from salmon leather and repurposed leather fabrics. The salmon leather is sourced from fish farms in Germany and Iceland. The leather is a by-product from the food industry, it is a very durable material and yet feels exclusive to the touch.
Laks by Lisa has been featured in international magazines like The Japan Times, Lederwarenreport, Step Fashion as well as Scandinavian fashion magazines like Costume, Stella, HENNE and KK

Signature
Delightfully well-made accessories using eco-friendly materials including salmon leather and repurposed leather from pre-loved clothing.

A fascinating mix of European, Scandinavian and Japanese influences bring a refreshing playfulness to Laks by Lisa’s accessories.
